The MSA1000 configuration included:

• Array A—100 GB RAID 1+0, 36-GB 10,000-rpm disks, 20 disks, Selective Storage Presentation

(SSP) enabled

• Array B—100 GB RAID 1+0, 36-GB 10,000-rpm disks, 20 disks, SSP enabled

• Array A was used for database storage.

• Array B was used for transaction log storage.

Each of the three LoadSim client PC (HP Compaq DC5000 [model number PB483A]) configurations

included:

• Intel Pentium® 4 3.0-GHz processor

• 0.5 GB memory

• HP GB adapter running at 100 MB

• Microsoft Windows XP

• Symantec Antivirus 9.0.0.338

– File system Auto-Protect enabled

– Microsoft Exchange Auto-Protect enabled during portions of testing

• LoadSim 6.0.4612.0
